About the camp

Develop and refine your creativity by composing and performing your original music. Learn about modern composers and creative approaches that have pushed musical boundaries, and use them as inspiration to expand your own writing skills. Over the course of the two-week camp, students will write their own compositions, collaborate with fellow student-composers, and perform their own original pieces.

Schedule

Week One consists of composition lessons, music history classes, and music theory classes.
Monday- Friday 10am-1pm in the studio
+ 1 hour of practice / composition time at home

Week Two will cover performance preparation and collaboration between students.
Monday-Thursday 10am-3pm in the studio
+ 1 hour of practice / composition time at home

The camp will conclude with premieres of the new pieces on the last day, Thursday July 24th at 2pm.

Who can sign up?

This camp is for both instrumentalists and vocalists at intermediate  and advanced levels. Students must be comfortable reading notes and rhythms.
