RAD Talent is a solo performance program aimed to elevate singers artists…
…to strengthen performance skills, learn to sing with a backing band, and play live shows throughout the Austin area.
This program is designed for students ages 13-18 and adults who have a solid understanding of vocal control and techniques but need additional guidance on performance skills.

Knowledge on audience engagement and showcasing personality will teach students how to bring their performance to life on stage. The group works on movement on stage, facial expressions and connecting with the audience for any given song. Guidance from coaches and peers will help to prepare young artists to face the challenges that arise on stage while playing with a live band. The program is designed to support young, emerging singers and musicians and to teach them how to safely navigate the Austin music scene and become confident stage performers.

PRICING
Flat Monthly Fee: $165/month*
Spring Semester | January - May
Fall Semester | September - December
This program runs in tandem with the school year, split into two semesters. Students are required to commit to a full semester once they’ve joined the program (Fall and/or Spring).
*Adult pricing differs, as they meet 90 minutes every other week. Spring 2025 registration is closed. Fill out our contact form if you are interested in learning more about the program.
SCHEDULE
Ages 13-18 | Saturdays 1:30-3:30pm
Adults | Wednesday 6:30-8pm every other week
Performances will take place twice a semester with occasional additional opportunities to perform.
If you are interested in joining and would like to schedule an audition, fill out our program request form (open until December 20). We will give you a call to provide additional information and schedule your audition with Paris, our vocal performance director. These class times reflect Fall 2024 and are subject to change in the spring semester.
AUDITIONS
RAD Talent requires an audition.
Students can audition for the following semester at any time through video submission, and in-person auditions are scheduled for twice a year.
The audition song you choose is important. Choose a song that showcases your vocal range and unique style. This song will be filmed later on for promotional use and for RAD Talent. We may ask you to choose a different song and audition again if we feel there is a better song to showcase your vocal ability.
Meet the Director
Paris Lailson
Paris is a solo artist and vocal coach who has been singing, writing music, and performing since she was in 15 years old at venues throughout Austin. She loves helping her students and peers to find their own joy on stage and become more effective performers by connecting with their audience on a deeper level.
She received her associate degree in Music Business, Technology, and Performance and her bachelor degree in Music Business from Berklee School of Music. Before joining Radha School of Music, she worked at the Austin Music Foundation and as an A&R at Manic Kat Records, and she currently organizes Moondance Music Festival, an annual event supporting local charities. Paris plays piano, guitar, and bass guitar but one of her favorite aspects of music is improvisation and jamming with others anywhere, anytime!
