About the camp

This camp is all about tapping into your creativity to explore different genres and songwriting techniques. Students will collaborate with other songwriters to create original music and learn how to write in different genres. Week 1 is purely learning, collaborating, and writing. Week 2 is bringing the songs into the studio to record. Songwriters will collaborate with our production students who will be tracking the sessions, and student session musicians will be there to help bring the music to life. This is an opportunity to experience the full songwriting process, from initial concept to final recording, while learning what it takes to work with others in a studio setting to turn your vision into reality.

Genres covered include rock, funk, blues, jazz, and hip-hop / r&b. Each day will feature a specific style, and guest teachers will be joining based on their specialty and experience with various genres.
