About the camp

Come learn the ins and outs of a recording studio and produce and record student artists! This camp will go over the basics of Audio Engineering and how Indigo Studios operates. Students will learn the equipment needed for different types of studios, how to set up a for a show, run sound both live and in the studio, and the basics of mixing.

Week one’s focus will be mainly audio engineering and at least one day focused on cameras & lighting. These are two hour classes per day during the first week. Indigo Studios has a multi camera setup and students will learn how to direct a show from the studio and camera switch as well as operate the cameras and listen to the camera director's instructions.

Week two will be when the Songwriting Camp merges with the Production camp and the camp runs from 9a-4p for the full week. Student session musicians will come in to play the instruments of the original songs that were written the prior week in Songwriting Camp. The Production students will be the engineers for the recording sessions and will learn how to multi-track and effectively communicate with the producer and session musicians. This the perfect camp for anyone interested in the behind the scenes of the music production industry. Students supporting students! No experience is required to attend this camp.
